Hello everyone,
since I registered here today, I wanted to introduce myself:
I'm Chris from northern Germany, so excuse me if my english is not perfect.
2 years ago, I fell in love with the Corvette C4 and now, I'm looking for one to buy - as a second car for nice summer days.
I am a car guy, but unfortunately I have no experience in repairing things by myself.
So I hope to finde here some help, inspiration and interesting discussions with future problems and topics.
Another reason why I'm looking for a car in the US is the fact, that in Germany and surroundings there are no cars, which suits my taste and imagination.
Although tax and payment of duty are very high for an import (around 29% of the cars purchase price), I just want to find the perfect Corvette for my taste.
In the C4 Sale/Wanted forum I will post a new thread about what I'm exactly looking for.

How would you assess that? How easy or difficult is it to find such a car in the US in a pretty good condition? I have only been observing the US-market for a month.
What price do you consider realistic? I have the impression here everything is cheaper than in Germany, but I do not know the average quality standard either.
I have already looked at several local cars here where I live, which partially had a bad condition but costs a lot of money...

I'm sure you have been looking in Europe. From time to time I look at Auto Scout and there seems to be a good collection of used Corvettes in Europe.
