Hello from Seattle, the great NW region city famous for its natural beauty surroundings, and one rain for a whole year that lasts for 6 month :-) Nice to join this forum, and hopefully will meet new friends over time. Thanks to the Corvette Forum for giving us this platform of discussion and sharing!
I am currently driving a 350Z convertible for daily work commute, and with another Honda Ridgeline truck for yard work and an Acura MDX for weekend outing with the other half (it's mostly wife's car). Cars I owned (and sold or crashed) in the past: VW Rabbit, Honda Accord, Honda Civic hatchback, Acura Legend, Mercury Sable, Dodge Caravan, Lexus LS400.
I have been contemplating getting a new 2020 Porsche 718 Boxster or BMW Z4 to replace my 350Z as my daily car, but when I saw the Corvette C8 announcement and photos/videos, everything changed. First time I wanted to own an American made sports car! Now only if I can find a dealer who will sell me a C8 convertible at the MSRP price ;-) ...
Since I don't have a Corvette yet, I can't boast my ownership of a vette like many of you do, so I'll boasting the natural beauty of my city instead :-) .... this is what I see almost everyday in the summer from my front porch. Hope some of you will drive your new C8 Vette coming to Seattle in the summer to enjoy the view :-)
Yeah, I have been tracking the dealer's list. Unfortunately there's no dealer in Seattle that will offer MSRP. The closest one in WA is a dealer in Tri City on the east side of WA which is quite far away. I'll check with them later to see their allocation number and what's the chance. I have already contacted the dealer in Portland who offers MSRP but their allocation has sold out already.
Answer to CamarosRus question: the photo was taken from West Seattle where I live. The Olympic mountain range would be much bigger if viewed from Magnolia hill.
Welcome to the forum Bill. I wish you all the best in aquiring tht C8. We got up close and personal with the new model in Bowling Green in August. Exciting!
Great view from your deck. The Pacific Northwest is simply beautiful. My wife and I frequently drive down from Vancouver for concerts at Jazz Alley. Seattle has so much to offer.
Thanks a lot, BigTee! Appreciated! Yeah, I finally decided that I am going to just order remotely paying MSRP and had the C8 courtesy delivered to Seattle.
So you are based in Vancouver, which is also a great city and spectacular place to see the nature and visit. The Sea to Sky highway towards Whistler is just phenomenal in views, and also for driving a Corvette! Yep, Pacific NW is the best place on Earth!
Yeah, I wished I could have the chance to go to Bowling Green, and I can imagine that would be very cool. Another one is to visit the Corvette Museum.
Haven't been to the Jazz Alley concert yet, and will check it out in the future. Thanks for the tip!
