Nice to meet everyone, I'm Christine and in Northern VA
.
I Just brought home last week a 2010 C6 GS LT3 A6 with 18.500 on the clock at time of purchase, in Crystal Red Metallic, and loving it so far. It literally is how I would have optioned the car had I ordered it new, line item for line item
Sold my previous 1997 C5 A4 Z51 back in 2012 (long story) and have missed having a vette for a daily driver ever since.
So far (as purchased from the chevy dealer) it already had a M2W on it, set in loud/always on mode (love it!!!!), and I have a throttle controller on the way already since I like a touch more responsive throttle, and a solid rack bushing to install still take the "on center" slop out of the steering. Will look into a smaller diameter (rewelded) factory wheel soon as well as I want to keep the airbag and controls as it is my daily, since if you can't change the rack ratio, change the wheel to speed the hands up on the steering.
It is a little bit of a change from the last car which was a 2013 Scion FRS, with 5.29 FD, E85 flex fuel kit, and heavy sway bars. So for a 4 banger, it at least got off the line nice until you ran out of power... and handled nice and tight, but I had it set intentionally very loose
Oh I guess I left out I used to race SCCA Club racing (97 Eclipse GSX with 380 AWD WHP, then a Baby Grand Stock Car with Yamaha R1 motor, 1650 lbs with driver, sequential shift), so I tend to tweak things a little. Also I've instructed once at the teen driving clinic that the NoVa corvette club was holding about 10 yrs ago.
Going to leave the power mostly alone on this however for now, as it has more than enough to get me in a world of hurt.
This weekend I'll be
- Swapping the right paddle shift wire to make it shift correctly (like my old FRS or my bestie's camry even)
- Installing the controller to allow my phone to BT into audio/media and not just phone
- (if it gets here) Installing the throttle controller
