Yesterday I drove to NY state on a 500+ mile trip each way to get the car that I was wanting. I specifically wanted a 2015-2019 C7 with a manual transmission, a convertible top, and less than 15,000 miles. It was quite an excursion, but it was totally worth it. I found THE car for me. Color was moderately important. My father owned a 1965 corvette and bought it new. Unfortunately he sold it less than a year later. As a child, I always lusted after his car. I really wanted a blue one like his. This is what I found. It’s a one-owner 2019 1LT Stingray Convertible with approximately 1,650 miles. Manual transmission, Z51 spoiler, with black rims. I’m in-love.
Here it is during the test drive
In-case anyone was wondering, a 2019 C7 will fit on a standard U-haul car transport trailer. The trailer was 79” and the car was approximately 74”. It didn’t look as if it would fit if I loaded it frontwards, so I measured clearance on the rear. I needed 6” of clearance, and the car was approximately 8”. The only other thing that I found is that I needed an elevated loading platform so the U-haul ramps were much closer to level with the trailer rather than at the standard angle on a flat surface. I also had to climb out of th passenger side door because the fender drops on the driver’s side if you pull on front tires first. I needed 8” of clearance to open the door, and I had approximately 9”. It was very tight, and I nearly aborted before we ever started.
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your sharp C7!
You are correct - it fit on the trailer.....but, I would have been holding my breath the entire time if I tried to load that.
Great looking car!! Glad you were able to get it home without driving in the snow. I ran into a whiteout shortly after I left the dealer with my car. But the Weather mode worked great - never broke traction one time. Of course, I washed it three times in the week after I got it home.
