Hey all...new member. Bought a 1988 with 29,000 miles about a year and a half ago. Been lurking here while I get it going again. It ran, but previous owner "saved" it and in doing so put a "killer" cam in it, so it was darn near undrivable. PO also put in new pistons and rings. He said it sat for about 10 years. Pulled the motor, needed .060 overbore (at 29k miles?), installed flat top pistons, new cam, Dart heads, suspension rebuild...runs like a champ now, but need to get intake/fuel in line with the rest of the motor. Still got a way to go - paint, interior, more brake work, AC is possessed, just a few things. And probably yank the motor a couple more times just for giggles. Who knows. My last project was a big block 1972 Chevelle in the early 80's and I've wanted something else ever since. Always said I have a 'Vette someday, just didn't think it would be the next project so many years later. Really appreciate all the knowledge I've come across so far.
My wife has a horse. Good bet I got the better deal.
