Hello everyone, I'm a new C6 owner and thought I'd join to learn more about my 2006 base 6pd Corvette.
Car was used and I know only what the dealer told me when I bought the car. Mods are as follows:
LS2 probably stock bottom end
Someone's ported 243 heads (dyno guy guess based on power)
Someone's 230/240 cam, guessing by the big valve springs it's probably got around .600" net lift
Stock airbox
175*F thermostat and 195*F fan on temp
Stock rockers with brass bushing trunion upgrade (me)
7.400 .080" wall steel pushrods
Long tubes
Catless 3" X-pipe
2.5" Corsa axleback
Someone's tune
Seller showed 440WHP dyno screenshot
Stinky 900rpm idle
31psi of oil pressure at 900rpm at 210*F using 5w-40 Rotella T6 with a Delco filter
Stock (?) clutch and driveline with Mobil1 synthetic ATF and 75w-90 in the rear end. Not liking the clutch hydraulics even with clean fluid so I'll probably drill the restrictors out of the stock master to slave line.
41-104 plugs that I think are too cold.
Probably going to try an LS3 manifold with billet cathedral port adapters, LS3 MAF conversion, and stock LS3 air box with a K&N filter that I already have in an attempt to maximize this combo.
Thanks guys! The car is a wonderful combination of muscle hotrod and LeMans winning roadrace champion and it's the best driving and most neutral street car I've ever driven. The combination of compact and powerful engines with room to grow added to the tight and high ratio steering, forgiving SLA suspension, low CoG height, and big tires is why I bought the car. It's like driving a slightly bigger Miata with LOADS of power and I love it!
