Hello,
I'm Mark, aka Chev454ss from my old '67 Chevelle. I don't own it any more, but one of my sons does. I've been working on cars for a long time which directed me to something I like, which is pre-restricted/emission cars. I bought a 1970 Stingray which is my favorite body style, the C3. It's a work in progress type car, it has had the engine and trans rebuilt, both are matching numbers. She needs paint, it was primered and blocked when I bought it but the time had passed to shoot it. It was stored in a car port so it got hit with mother nature's finest.
In another month or so I will be taking it to MI to an old friend to have it painted. The original color was Monza Red so that's what it will be after it is sanded down and re-primered. I still have to decide what to do about the interior, as somewhere in the past it was decided that it would look better with a tan interior, and it needs work too. But I'm retiring in about a year, I will be retiring from my dream job at GM, it took me 30 years to do it but I got transferred from a plant in MI to Bowling Green Assembly....yes, my dream job at GM from almost 38 years ago was to work at the Corvette plant! So never say never, dreams can and do come true! I'm an electrician servicing General Assembly on days! This is what she looks like right now. My new toy, 350/300, numbers matching 1970 Stingray!
