I'm new to the forum as I'm looking to buy my first Corvette, a C6 Z06. One of my mother's husbands, circa 1980, had a '64 Vette with a '67 hood. That was in Los Angeles. As a kid, he used to have me sit in it revving the engine to charge the battery. Anyway, I have fond memories of that car and remember him crying when he had to sell it to support our family. He always had a Vette even through declining health. Well, my 27-year-old son just bought a 2003 Z06 and I've still never owned one. Shame on me. My son lives about 4 hours from me and we are planning to meet up halfway from our Midwest homes to play golf. I'm glad to be in the forum and learn from the community.
