Just a quick note to introduce myself. I've been a corvette enthusiast since my first one in 1975. Actually i think I got hooked when I was 8 years old and my parents were looking at new cars, They had a tough time getting me out of the 64 coupe in the showroom. They didn't purchase that one but I have made up for it since! I currently own a 1961, 1962 and 1964. I have restored numerous c1's and 2's over the years and just kept others running. I live in the Rochester NY area and am looking forward to the forum here.
Welcome to the Forum, and congratulations on your "fleet" of C1s/C2!
Lot of great members in the C1/C2 sections at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-1953-1967-21/. I am sure there is much helpful information you will be able to share, and probably some great tips and tricks you may learn, too.
Please post some pics when you can.
C8Alex here. Believe it or not, as I type, I am awaiting a Chevrolet door to door service to pick me up to take me to the dealer to pick up my C8. It appears that the battery that the factory installed at Bowling Green on 2/20/2020, failed in the cold weather and long interlude for arriving at the dealer on or about April 12, 2020. While the battery took a charge, it would not hold one. Failed four times in ten days and then failed the evening before an apt with Rydell Chevy in Northridge, Ca. Actually, Joe just informed me that he's dispatched a second driver as the first one got lost.. A new battery was installed by Rydell. I'm actually going to hook up a more advanced battery charger than the Corvette battery protection charger,: a C TECH with battery level monitoring; trickle; battery reconditioning; battery maintenance; led lighting on the unit to inform the battery owner of condition and progress. That should help this new battery achieve long life, as it was just put into the c8, this AM. I would imagine that on a new C8, if there are short trips, initially, that too could run down the battery, as it never would achieve its maximum charge point. Then the drain during the periods of doing such things done as a "wrap" or paint protection service could also labor the battery unnecessarily. If this doesn't work, it will mean either a bad new battery or it will mean a drain in the system. I'm about to find out. AF
