I've been lurking for awhile now ever since my dad, due to health reasons, has made me the caretaker of his 1981 Corvette. He purchased it in 1990 and is the second owner. I have made it clear to him that I fully expect to be the third owner. I feel like I have to prove to him that I'm serious about owning this car and dealing with whatever issues may arise. So I thought I would officially join what I think is the number 1 corvette forum in the world. I know I will have tons of questions as I get more intimate with this vehicle. I don't have a ton of experience working on cars but I can handle the basics and am not afraid to challenge myself. It is amazing how much I've learned just reading threads on this forum. Thanks for you time,
Welcome to the Forum, Jason!
Great that you are showing your dad that you are interested in and capable of carefully maintaining his car for him (and hopefully for you some day, too).
Thank you for the kind welcome and words. Looking forward to this journey. There's nothing like a Corvette! Only wish I could put two child seats in it. Oh well, who gets a Corvette for the family? HaHa!
Welcome ! I am in in St Louis but also from Connecticut (Trumbull/Monroe) and intend to be in Virginia or South Carolina in 2 years for same reasons (shorter winters).
Good luck !
