Hi all. I just purchased a 1975 C3 L48 Coupe that I am working through. The story goes that owner A bought it from a local dealer in late '92 and decided it was not powerful enough. He then commenced a complete teardown of the car to fix some existing issues (mostly the Red Matco paint job I presume) but got a divorce before finishing it. Owner B purchased the car in May of 2006 to work on with his son, but the son was never interested and very little progress was made. It sat in his garage for 14 years until I bought it. Owner A did a (seemingly) decent job of documenting the major milestones and keeping receipts. Frame & birdcage are in excellent condition and the body is mostly sound and most of the parts to make it complete are included. Owner A bought fiberglass front and rear bumpers and was kind enough to save all of the components from the old bumpers (with the exception of the urethane covers). I am currently working through the AIM to get familiar with the C3 series and have started fixing some little things here and there. The plan is to get it back up and running and fix the wiring issues, reinstall/repair the interior, mount the bumpers and align all the panels, then pull off the major components and get a paint job done.
Thanks all. I've been working to get it cleaned up and start tracking down the trouble issues. I have the interior out now and I think I have most of the bubba wiring pulled out of it. I will start working through the wiring issues and getting the interior back together first, then tackle the engine and transmission.
