Back in Action
I have a '70 454 coupe (with a '71 dealer replacement LS6), Marlboro Maroon, about 52,000 miles, auto (hey, can't always be choosy when buying used) and few options. The original owner was a doctor who bought it to go fast, so no a/c, no pw, etc. I'm the third owner. The second owner didn't own it long as he was building a house and over ran his budget so he sold the car. I've had it since the late 1980s. The bad part is it's been parked for the last 24 years...long story short, it started over heating so I parked it...figured I'd fix it when I got a chance...may be something simple like the thermostat...or could be water pump, radiator, etc...shouldn't be very difficult...next thing I know we have a new born, work is super busy, etc, then another son, etc, etc...long story short...I've finally got the time to get it going...well, once my leg is healed...broke my femur but that's another story for another time LOL Unfortunately, since I wasn't planning on a 20+ year hiatus, I never drained the gas tank, lines, etc so I'll have a bit more work than I originally had but hey, that's life....will give my son and I a few ore things to do together before getting it on the road.
Anyhow, looking forward to being on here....I'm old school so not much for computers, etc but I do get on every once in a while. I know I'll have some questions, etc and looking forward to viewing other peoples' projects :=)

Lot of great members and helpful info in the C3 sections at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-1968-1982-5/
Best wishes getting your '70 back in shape!
Also waiting for the insurance to ok getting the screws, and other hardware out of my knee/leg as right now I can not kneel on it, etc...long story short, the day before I was to retire, I had 1800lbs of drywall fall and crush my leg breaking my femur, crushing the muscles, etc...35 years on the job and never go hurt (other than an occasional twisted ankle, etc) and this happens the day before I retire....go figure. My son and I were supposed to work on the car over the winter til this happened. But hey, it's not like the care is going anywhere! LOL
again, thanks...looking forward to spending some time and learning, getting ideas, etc for you all :=)
