Hello,
I am new to the forum. I've been wanting to join for quite a while but now that I bought a 1984 last week, I found I have to join since I'm already having problems with high idle.
I retired from the Air Force 4 years ago and am job hopping right now to find where I fit best or if I even fit anymore. I haven't had good luck finding a decent job so hopefully that changes soon.
As I said, I just bought the 1984 for a daily driver and hope I didn't make a mistake. I have a 1958 that I bought in 1976 and a 1971 that I bought in 1985. I did some work as a mechanic but I was never really that good so I got out of that business and joined the service. That treated me real well so now I have at least a small retirement. I love Corvettes and have since being a kid in the 1960's. I'm grateful for those in the forum that can help me with the '84 since it is a real odd setup to me and I hope I can return the favor.
Thanks,
Gary, Thedogkeeper
Welcome to the Forum, Gary, and congratulations on your C4!
An '84 was our introduction to the C4 generation. We did not experience issues with the Cross-Fire Induction that many did; guess we lucked out. Overall, we really enjoyed the car.
Thank you for your AF service!
