Hey pals, I've never joined a forum before but I decided to join one for my Vette to share stories and get help when needed. I have a 1979 Corvette with (supposedly) 4,500 miles. I never really tried working on cars until about 2 years ago, when I bought a non running 97 Silverado and told myself I could fix it. I ended up getting it running in about 2 weeks, and ever since then I've tried to challenge my mechanical ability. I then went on to rebuild car and bike engines just to see if I could, and I ended up succeeding and making money on all of them. Anyway, I somehow found someone with the 79 Vette who liked my truck(and the condition it was in) enough to make a trade. I bought the truck for $800 and ended up with a beautiful blue Corvette. And I have been, and plan to, do as much as I can to get it in the best condition I can afford.
Welcome to the Forum, Samuel, and congratulations on your C3! Sounds like you made a very good trade.
Lots of great members and helpful info in the C3 sections that may benefit you as you work on your newest car. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-1968-1982-5/.
