I've been on the fence for a few months now about buying a Corvette, and am about 90% ready to go through with owning one at this point. Still torn between a late year C5 and mid year C6, leaning more towards the latter. Just waiting for the right deal to come along at this point. Not really too selective on a coupe or convertible at this point, but definitely leaning towards a manual car. My first car was a white C4 automatic coupe that had unfortunately seen its fair share of better days by the time I was able to legally drive in 2007, so I parted ways with it shortly afterwards. However the desire to own another one hasn't strayed too far away from me.
Thank you, I almost pulled the trigger on a low mileage 03 50th Anniversary for a decent price earlier this week, ran a Carfax and saw where I would've been the 8th owner, then decided to let someone else be the next lucky owner once discovering that tidbit. Beautiful car, but just wasn't in my range of desire after learning that.
Forgive me for reviving a dead thread but I just wanted to say I finally bought a Corvette! A few days after I made this post, I lost my house to a fire and everything was turned upside down from what I had been accustomed to for so long. I was able to buy another house at the beginning of March and just this past weekend picked up a 2008 Coupe for a price I couldn't say no to.
