My first visit here since joining the forum. We purchased our C7 last February at the onset of all the Covid craziness. Wow, what a year, goodbye 2020 and hello 2021.
Never even considered owning a vette, even though I've always liked them, it was just one of those things we never considered for ourselves. My wife took a ride in her BFF's Camaro a few years ago and since that time she'd set her mind on owning one. We started saving for a downpayment and shopping around on line when a buddy of mine, who knew she wanted one came by with a rental one day and let us take it out for a while. It just didn't cut it for me and the puny trunk and useless back seats turned me off right away. Soon afterward another friend, made a comment that we "should just get a Corvette". At first I didn't take it serious, but in the end, it seemed to make a lot more sense for us,
I researched and tried to educate myself about them for several months and finally decided we'd opt for a C7. We didn't start out or intend to buy new, but we ended up with a new 2019 Stingray, the base 1LT version with an appearance package. Loving it so far and hope to learn a lot more about it here.
