I'm a mechanical engineer, and actually started my career at GM (I got my undergraduate degree at General Motors Institute, specializing in Automotive Engineering) where I was a chassis systems engineer. My graduate work was in the Engine Research Center at UW-Madison after which I did engine performance development and later controls at Chrysler. So if you have any technical questions ask away. I currently manage the engine controls organization at John Deere. This is my first Vette but I've previously owned a 944 Turbo and an NSX. I'm currently anxiously awaiting the arrival of my 2021 c8. Looking forward to engaging with the forum!
Welcome to the forum Blake! Congrats on your C8! My son would also like to pursue the same career. He will be attending Michigan Tech this fall for Mechanical Engineering.
Welcome and congratulations on your future C8. It will be interesting how you compare it to your other cars you have owned. My 20 is my 10th Corvette but I didn't have other cars to compare too. Your working for a great company, they were good to me.
