I'm from Stuart, Florida and am in the process of restoring a 1981 C3 for my Active Duty AF son. My first car was a brand new 1976 C3 and I have done several partial restorations in the past on a 75', and a 93'. This 81' was originally owned in southern CA and has virtually no rust but it has been neglected and is in need of a total facelift. The short block was rebuilt in 2013 and the original 4 speed manual transmission was replaced with a 5 speed manual transmission. Work to date has included replacing the body mounts, removing the engine/transmission/wiring harness, repainting the engine bay and bottom, and gutting the interior.
I'm certain that I will have many questions along the way and have already encountered my first electrical issue which I have posted in the technical section.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Sincerely,
Toones

Two drive Corvettes. 81' and 93' vintage. I'm certain they would love to be part of this project as we have discussed it in depth, but at present, time limited.
