After many decades of raising kids and such, I have finally become a Vette owner. Always loved the C3 body style and have oogled from afar for many, many years. Well this month I finally was able to pull it all together. She's a 1981 model that the PO swapped a Gen 3 5.3L with Gen 4 rods and pistons, btr cam and springs, along with a built 4L60E and shark differential. Audi R8 charcoal paint job as well. Interior is stock and will need some freshening up but not too bad for now. Don't know many details on Corvette's or computer controlled engines but have been reading a ton. Ordered an AIM and shop manual and will be taking her in for a little fine tuning on the dyno next week. Next will be selling off the side pipes and running a full length exhaust and dealing with the interior heat gain. I absolutely love the look and can't wait to tinker and play. Super excited to be part of the family.
