My second car was a '64 convertible that I got in '67. I drove it for a few years, blew the engine, parked it & let it become a barnfind.
Now, fast forward.
A church in Florida had a raffle with a 2020 3LT Z51 convertible for the prize. The church didn't sell enough tickets to give the car away but I got a call from them this afternoon telling me I"ve won the raffle. It's a 50:50 split of the proceeds and that comes to around $27K for me. I'm very happy about that but it gets better. I also have the opportunity to buy the car from the dealer at MSRP. I think I'll take the $27K and search under the couch cushions for the rest of the money I need & fly down & get it.
I've been driving BMWs since '71 and have 2 M3s but the new Corvette should be a nice change.
