I've been browsing here for ages, but I'm finally signing up now that I've decided to get myself in trouble.
About a year ago I did everything you're not supposed to do, and bought an unfinished project '76 sight unseen in an online estate auction. Turns out it was actually 99% of one '76 and many parts of multiple other '76s, For a while I have been taking inventory to learn exactly how much I didn't know that I didn't know. Then for a couple months I was doing bodywork and prep. Last week I sent the body for paint and ordered a crate LT1. So there's only most of the work left to do and things are starting to get interesting..
Welcome to the Forum, and congratulations on your '76!
Sounds like you have been doing your work in the right order. Figure out what you have, then figure out what you need and then figure out how to put it all together.
You should have a great performing C3 with your new crate engine!
