Jeb here, from Southcentral Pennsylvania. I was told this is the place I need to be for info. I'm a professional mechanic (I get paid, anyway.) who figured out years ago that most enthusiasts are dedicated enough to their cars that they will spend snormous blocks of time and lots of money frinding solutions to problems that us in the trade simply cannot.
I have made a bunch of money and repaired a lot of vehicles because of them.
Thing is, I've been able to repair cars for people because I will devote the time to do research because now that the web has made forums so prolific, pretty much anything I want to know, or do, is known and has been done.
So as well as being a hero for actually sorting out issues, I usually can save people money as well from solutions that enthusiasts have developed through hours of triel and error.
So..... I have a customer with an '89 C4 with electronic climate control issues, my Chevy store is telling me the units are unobtanium and I have no service facilities near that'll touch these units.
So.....I'll be scoutin' the archives.
We have a '66/472 roadster and a '79 car here as well for various levels of restoration & repair.

Welcome to the Forum, Jeb!
You sound like a very customer focused mechanic; I am sure car owners in your area appreciate your skills and focus!
You might try asking about the electronic climate control in the C4 General or Tech sections at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-1984-1996-19/.
Best wishes with all your Corvette efforts.

Thanks! I got into specialty car sevice/maintenance/restoration 'cause I have the same d@mn disease. I love cars.
I like that when I do some extensive work on someone's car that they stop back in a month and tell me all about their trip to the lake/mountains/races/family retreat and that the car did just fine.
This isn't just a job for me, it's a life and I've seen a lot of this world and this country through people because of their cars.
Anywho..... I didn't get any immediate hits on C4 climate control. I'm starting my sleuthing to see where it takes me. I have a couple possibilities, but I'm looking for options. From what I can tell, used is *not* the way to go.
