I joined here a couple years ago when I bought a 1995 Dark Purple Metallic Manual Corvette. It was my first Corvette and I had a blast with it. I sold the car last fall so I could pay off some credit card debt. I don't regret selling it but I sure did miss it. Anyway, I drive past the dealership where I bought the C4 Vette from every day. I usually glance over to see what they have on the lot. It's a small used car lot and most of their cars come from auctions. Yesterday I noticed a black C5 Corvette popped up. I looked it up on the internet and saw it was a 2000 black on black on black C5 Convertible with a 6 speed manual. Kind of high miles with 142K but I know the LS1 and T56 transmissions are very durable so that mileage didn't scare me off. I went to test drive it today and it was NICE. Everything works, the car runs and drives like a dream and the paint is nearly flawless. Interior is showing it's age a bit but not bad at all considering the age and mileage.
They were asking 11K but I talked them down to $10,700. I know it's not much but I was honestly shocked that they moved on the price at all. It's a very hot sellers market right now for houses and anything with a V8 engine, especially muscle cars and sports cars. I haven't taken pics yet but here is a link to the add which has several pics of the car.
Welcome back to Corvette ownership, and congratulations on your C5!
By the way, I just clicked on your link and it now shows the car sold and nothing about the car is showing up (or at least that I could find).
