Hi all, I'm Kenny from Washington Illinois. I am the new owner of a 1986 Coupe from the original 1989 VH1 sweepstakes. I don’t know much about corvettes. I won this 86 corvette September of 2020 in a sweepstakes put on by thelostcorvettes.com. It is one of the 36 corvettes from the 1989 VH-1 sweepstakes. It has been sitting in New York city parking garages for 25 years along with the other 35 corvettes from that giveaway.Here is what it looked like when it was discovered after sitting all of those years:
And here is what it looked like when I was told it was mine. I did not attend the ceremony due to the corona virus but I did a zoom with Chris Mazzilli. This picture was taken in Times Square on Veterans Day of 2020:
It is sitting in my garage and I am in the process of going over the car and I will post more as I get this thing where I want it to be by spring.
I got a copy of the original window sticker and the car does have the Z51 Performance Package option for $470.00. It also has the MM4 Four Speed Trans with Overdrive.

AQ9 graphite sport seats $1025.00
AU3 power door locks $175.00
B4M custom feature package $195.00
K34 electronic speed control w/resume $185.00
The car sold for $31,816.00 from Paramount Chevrolet in Downey California.

Question about the contest. Did you have pay taxes on the apv of $10k and the $2655 cash to cover tax? Did the $2655 cover all the taxes? I ask because I am thinking about buying tickets for the last 2 drawings.

They paid the taxes. All I had to do was find a company to haul it to me. In my case it cost me $800.00 to have it carried in an enclosed carrier from New York to Illinois. You have the choice of taking the car or a cash value also. GO FOR IT.
