I'm new to the forum effective today and look forward to reading and sharing Corvette information and experiences.
A bit about myself: I recently retired, 2019, after 40+ years in the high technology sector, mostly working in Silicon Valley, and have since settled in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
I have dreamed of owning a Corvette since I was a young teenager after getting opportunities to ride in 1966 split-window belonging to the boyfriend of a friends sister.
I finally purchased my first one, a 2019 C7 Stingray coupe which I picked up from a dealership in Iowa City, Iowa in October of 2019. We took an extended road trip through the upper mid-west and New York before returning to our then home, Portola, California near Lake Tahoe.
I'm about ready to get my 2nd one, a 2021 C8 convertible which I am scheduled to pickup at the museum on the 20th of this month; fingers crossed it makes it out of QC on time.
My wife and I will be using it for a few days afterwards making the rounds of the Kentucky Bourbon trail before returning the car back to the museum to be shipped to our home in Arizona.
