I take delivery of a 2008 Base Corvette either today or tomorrow. Probably a very familiar story, always wanted a Corvette, but life always had something else planned for my money. The kids are out of the house and now it's time to treat myself.
Other than Youtube videos, my Corvette knowledge is lacking. I'll make use of the search feature and be asking lots of questions.
Welcome to the Forum, and congratulations on your upcoming C6!
Lot of great members and helpful info for your questions in the C6 sections at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-2005-2013-14/.
Enjoy your ride and save the wave!
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your purchase. I have also had that longtime passion to own a Corvette.
I purchased my first one in 1978. I was 25 yrs old then. Kept it until my daughter was quickly approaching her 16th birthday.
You can kind of figure out why I traded it off then lol. That happened in 1989 and I was without a Vette from then until Jan, 2021.
I purchased a 2015 C7 ZO6 3LZ M7 from a gentleman in the Columbus, Ohio area. I also have some years of living in Ohio in my teen yrs.
My parents bought a house 30 some miles East of Canton. Small town of Minerva. I finished school there, and stayed until 1976 when
i changed careers and moved to Missouri. The years of no Corvette were just as you stated about life priorities not allowing the Corvette then.
I've since retired (2015), kids are grown with kids of their own, and successfully pursuing their careers. Life has now slowed down and a
Corvette is back in my garage. It's great you are on the forum, but even greater life has been good and you are a Vette owner. Congratulations,
be safe, and enjoy life and the Corvette.
