I have always wanted a Corvette - specifically, a C3. Years ago, a fellow church member was raffling off her 1969 Corvette. Tickets were $100 a piece. I bought 4 of them but didn't win. Disappointed. Fast forward to August 2021. I am out walking the neighborhood with my wife when I ask the gentlemen with the black Corvette in his driveway what year it was. He said "it's a 1977...do you want to buy it?" A week or two later, I did! Prior to pulling the trigger, I remember another church member who has owned a dozen Corvettes. He told me to bring it over and put it on his lift. Two hours later, he gave me an amount for what I should offer. Long story short, here I am...a proud and happy Corvette owner. A Corvette owner who also has already realized how this can easily spiral out of control with projects, parts, and money!
