Hello! Sunday was a great day! My new-to-me 2018 Grand Sport was delivered. Vehicle came from Matthews-Hargreaves in Royal Oak MI and made the trip to a little country town called Clarksburg about an hour west of Pittsburgh. I joked with friends and family that around here usually you purchase a nice vehicle in spring time and I purchased a Corvette at the onset of winter. Luckily (or not depending on how you look at it), it will stay in my parents toy box until the roads are swept sometime in April. I had to take it for a quick drive after it came off the transport in 37 degree weather even though it has the Sport Cup 2's on it. That was.....pucker inducing. A little about the car: 2018 GS, 7M, 2LT, Z07, Carbon Flash (Stg 2?) Aero, PDR/Nav, Heritage Pkg, 1268 miles, bone stock. As a bonus, it already has Xpel on the entire front clip, A's, lower doors and aero, front and rear of the rear tires. It was, what I felt, the best example of a C7 GS for sale nation wide right now. Yup, I overpaid. But as soon as I sat in it, it was worth every penny - or at least will be telling myself that every month when I write the check! This is my first Corvette and, I feel, a milestone. I've saved for half of my life (I just turned 40) for a Camaro. My dad had a 69 that he was forced to get rid of when I was a kid due to being laid off by Westinghouse so it was sentimental to want a ZL1. I've just recently gone through a divorce and figured what the hell! YOLO! I also decided to up the ante a little bit and splurge for the Corvette. So in any case, this thread is worthless without pictures so here are a few I snapped:
