Funny story, until about a year ago I never really knew what a corvette was, I just knew it was something my Grandpa had and loved (1979 L-82) and they were built by Chevy lol. Then right around a year ago, one of my close childhood friends got a C6 Z06 and after a few minutes of riding shotgun I was hooked all things corvette
Then my Dad showed interest in getting a new car (lots of power for not a lot of money) and after some research, I found the C5 Z06 to fit the bill and we found one to test drive. He hated the car (he hates anything but his 20 year old Acura
) but I was even more hooked and had to have one. Started casually searching around about a year ago but a lot of cars around me were asking way too much in meh condition. Then with the drift season in full swing I didn’t really bother to keep looking. About a week ago I woke up and decided that I needed another project car and after a full day of nonstop searching I found the perfect one on eBay motors and sent a deposit. It’s a 2002 C5 Z06 in electron blue that’s about to hit 100K miles. She’s been tracked and is pretty rough by corvette standards, but when has something worthwhile been easy? She’ll arrive no later than end of next week

Anyways, this is the first time I’ve ever signed up for a forum so this should be fun. I’ll try to document some of the project and share cool stuff I find along the way.
A little about me, my name is Pierce and I’m based in NJ. I started getting into cars right around when everyone my age was getting their learners permit because I just wanted to know how cars work. I fell down that rabbit hole quickly and then started doing basic stuff like oil changes on my family cars. After graduating High School I immediately got my dream “Job”. I can’t really say what it is due to my NDA but I can say it combines cars and something else I like to think I’m good at
. I actually then bought a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer but I barely used it and ended up selling it this year. Now this Z06 is my newest addition to the family and a childhood dream car I never knew I wanted. All this before I can legally drink
Here is the car, this is a seller photo:

An LS in a small BMW should make a strong performing drift car.
