I'm a new first time Corvette owner. I've paid for but not yet picked up my Torch Red 2022 C8 Convertible 3LT. I will pick it up Thursday. It has the Z51 with Mag Ride package, Flash Painted Nacelles, and Front Lift.
I fell in love with the C8 when I saw the first pictures. I put my name on the list when I saw the hard top convertible. I have a chronic back issue that would not let me drive the coupe, I'll have to have the top down to get in the car .
Welcome to the Forum, Rick, and congratulations on your C8!
Great that the new Corvette HTC allows you to get in and drive such a nice sports car.
Enjoy your ride and save the wave!
Thank you to all of you, I appreciate the welcome.
I realized I could have added more info in my intro, but I'll do it now. I'm a car guy as I assume every Corvette owner is. I got my license to drive at the tail end of the muscle car era and as a kid I fell in love with the Plymouth Barracuda. I was able to buy one later in life. In 1991 I bought a 1970 Barracuda, 318 4sp, Grand Coup. I had it completely restored/rebuilt in 2000. I stayed stock mostly, except the engine was not the original engine, so I swapped the 318 for a 380HP 360ci crate engine available at the time. I still have that car today.
I bought and still own a 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP. It is a great little car with 260HP in a 2 seater weighing less than 3000 lbs. As fun as it is, this car will have to go, it's being kicked out of the garage by the C8.
I have a son and a daughter, I will leave it up them as to who inherits a 1970 Barracuda and who gets a 2022 C8 HTC.
