Default Paitiently Waiting

Hi all,

I'm patiently waiting for my 2022 Caffeine Metallic LT3 Z51 convertible. I got on a waiting list on May 26, 2021 and am currently 2nd on the list for allocations at my dealer. (I jumped over at least 8 others because they want Z06's.) We placed a sold order in the system and I've put down my deposit and am now waiting on that allocation. I'm thinking this Peoria IL dealer gets about an allocation per month so maybe a Feb order and delivery in May? What are your thoughts?

I'm not new to Corvettes as I've had one before. I bought a 1963 Coupe in 1973 for $3,000. It was a basic car with the 340hp engine option and 4-speed but the body had been modified with flared wheel wells, Crager rims and a scoop hood. It ran well but had had a hard life. A title search showed it had changed hands seven times in 11 years. It obviously had been left outside a lot because there was rust everywhere. It still had the orginal engine and most of the other serialized parts were still there. I finally sold it in 1999 for $11,000. It was a totally fun car and handled pretty well for that time. But now I can't wait to experience magnetic ride control!

Dennis

Welcome aboard. I got a January 2021 allocation and my C8 arrived in early April. Too many variables to answer your question. One just cant predict part shortages, the weather and what the virus may do to the labor. I wouldnt post your question in the C8 section. Rather, go there and read the allocation threads and they will answer your question. The C8 is amazing, you will enjoy it.

Default Congrats and Welcome

Hi and welcome. Although your 63 was very nice, I would imagine the new C8 Corvette will be a very welcome addition to your garage.

I have 2022 3LT HTC that hit the dealership last week and I'm flying out to pick it up this Thursday. It took me two years to get the car from when I put my deposit down.
