Another Aussie.
products from General Motors have always been a favorite of mine.I have one Corvette, and I was the custodian of a right hand drive Chevrolet K20 for many years. I will put up a few photos of my other current cars, though you may not recognize many of them.
The main reason for joining is that I am on the hunt for a Harrison oil cooler that was part of a homologation package for the Holden Torana L34.
I am also interested to see just how much traffic goes through this forum. In Australia, Facebook has pretty much taken over the forums with only a couple of automotive ones still active at all. GMH-TORANA.com.au is the one I frequent the most, but some days there may only be two or three posts made. Of course, most of the important stuff has already been said over the last 20 years and can be found with a simple search, but I miss the days when 30 of us would all be arguing over a topic at the same time.
Cheers anyway. Laurie Shine.
1974 Holden Torana L34. Only 263 made to homologate the race parts for Group C racing here in Australia. Close to 400 horsepower from a 308 cubic inch V8 once fully developed.
1982 VH SS Holden Commodore.
1985 VK SS Group A Commodore. 500 made to homologate the Holden for Group A racing world wide. The most sought after of the cars built by (the Australian) Peter Brock with prices up around half a million dollars currently.
What I drive when going bush. Toyota Landcruiser V8 diesel.
2013 VE SS Commodore. You guys were getting these for a short while as Pontiacs. I only wish more of you got to drive them. An exceptional car.
1972 350-350 Corvette. I purchased this 15 years ago, but I have almost had enough of trying to live with a left hand drive car in a right hand country.
What I drive at work. 1998 International Transtar. 1.2 million kilometers without any major drama. I love it.
Australian assembled Chev K20.
