New CF member here to introduce myself. Been lurking around the forum for a few weeks just reading and taking in information. To be quite honest I was never really a Corvette person, never disliked them, but they just were never on my radar. Took a trip and rented a 2017 GS recently and kind of fell in love. A little of my background, I grew up in the PNW and got into dirt bikes and motocross at a young age. Through that sport I met some people who got me into cars, but I could never really afford both hobbies. I ended up going to school down in Houston for engine building, but at the end of it I opted to go back to Washington and continue my career in aerospace. Fate would have it opportunities are bringing me back to Texas and I am finally going to be in a position to get into the car world. I have always been obsessed with the mechanical side of things and cant wait to find a car that I can turn into my own. I will most likely be looking for a C6Z06 (manual preferably) to turn into a weekend fun car. I need something to scratch that itch and with the amount of info on the LS platform I feel its something I can dig into and really enjoy. My overall goal will to build a wicked NA car. With the people I have been lucky enough to meet in the industry and the amount of amazing info on this forum I can not wait to see what I can put together. You will definitely see me around the forum, probably asking questions to those more who know more and sharing my experiences on what I found NOT to do (I am an expert and figuring those things out).
