I’m a second time C3 owner and thought that this would be my best resource for info regarding the latest addition to my garage, a silver 1978 base corvette. Very exciting, huh! Well, a number of years ago I had a beautiful 75 convertible soft/hard top in Red over black with 22k miles. Never should have sold it… I fell in love with the C3 at that time and I finally have another in my garage. This one is not so beautiful, but all original with 42k miles. I purchased it from the original owner, an 80 yo women who received the vette as a birthday gift from her husband in 1978. She finally decided she was “finished driving it”. It has been garage kept for the past 30 years while living in AZ, but it started life in OH. She provided a folder of documentation and service records from over her years of ownership, excellent documentation on the mileage. The paint is a bit rough, showing some fading, chips and scratches, but 100% original. I am prepping it for NCRS judging with the help of a neighbor friend who just went through the process with his 72 big block. The story is TBC, but thanks for having me and allowing me to pick your brains and rely on your expertise! I will post pics as soon as possible.
