Hi, excited to join here. I grew up with my father having a '69 convertible and as a kid I was all about Corvettes. It took a while (I am, ahem, older), but I am finally checking that box. I found this about two hours north in Michigan - in really great shape, 55K miles, stick (mandatory at least for me), records and squeaky clean CarFax. It drove as well as it looked. Take my money.
I have always historically done all my own work (cars and motorcycles), but when getting something unfamiliar, my first order of business is to seek out that know more than myself, which would be most of you fine folks.
It's a 30-year old car - things are going to go wrong and I will fix them. Unlike a lot of my former vehicles my plan is to keep this one for some time.
Welcome to the Forum, Robert, and congratulations on your nice C4!
Lot of great members and helpful info in the C4 sections at: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-1984-1996-19/.
Enjoy your ride and save the wave!
Thanks so much everyone. I haven't been this excited about a car in a long time. One of the things I noticed in doing a little homework was that there's a GREAT (and helpful) owner base.
