It's been a few years since I've been on here. Life got busy and I got married, had kids and sold the Z. Just recently got back in the game with a used base C7. I'll get pics updated soon!
I've been looking at trading my 79 Trans Am project for a C4 that's also a project but seems to be a little further along in the process. Going to check out this C4 today and see how much work it actually needs. I'll keep you all updated on that adventure haha.
Thanks all! It was nice to see an F-body section here too! I posted a pic of the T/A in there. The Corvette looks good but a few issues were standing out to me. He rebuilt the motor but didn't have the distributor on yet so it couldn't be started. Makes me weary of if it actually runs or not. The dash was pulled out because he was "trying to figure out what was going on with the displays"... to me, that means the old digital dash is kaput. I don't really want to trade my running, driving 79 T/A with a ton of work done already for a C4 that I don't have any idea if it runs or not.
Welcome back and congratulations on your C7!
Sounds like a smart moved on your part passing on the C4. Hopefully, the next potential trade will be in better shape if you still decide to go that route; although we had a C4 and a WS6 TA at the same time and enjoyed switching back and forth on who drove which one since they were both daily drivers for us at that time.

Not a bad idea there! Good to see another person that was both AF and Army!
