Greetings from Charlotte, NC. I've been on the forum for several months now, figured it was time to show my face. My wife made the mistake of asking me what I wanted for Christmas, and I said a 'Vette. Found this 1999 base model with only 9400 miles, one owner. First thing I did was replace the tires as the original Goodyear's with a build date of 01/99 were still on it. Put an Optima battery on board, the date sticker on the original was 07/11. Also added a Borla touring exhaust, made a big difference in sound that I like. A great thrill was learning that the 12 CD player in the trunk had never been used. Pulled the packing tape off, loaded it up with some great 70's classics and she works like a charm! So, here I am practicing my V wave to all fellow members. Just look for the old, silver-haired guy riding around South Charlotte blasting Boston's Greatest Hits!
Congratulations on finding such a beautiful, well cared for Corvette and welcome. Wonderful part of the country and you’ll have a long driving season. I lived in Stanly county for 6 years and my brother lives in Fort Mill. I sure do miss the weather and friendly people. Wishing you many safe and happy miles.
