Just bought my first Vette a 02 C5 in Electron Blue.
I took it on this months Hotrod Power Tour for a total of 1938 miles. Probably not the smartest idea with a new to me 98k mile car that was largely unknown. It did fine aside from losing a passenger side window regulator. I was able to get a new one in Memphis and had it changed out within 30min.
My car is basically stock with only a Borla Exhaust and SLP intake.
Currently I have a box full of braking upgrades. DBA rotors, SS lines, Motul fluid and some Hawks pads.
A goody box from Texas Speed will be ordered here soon. Heads,Cam,Long Tubes and a 3.90 gear.
Brakes this weekend, but I’m not tearing into the motor till winter.
As far as my autosport’s background. I’ve owned everything from a 240sx/350z to about a dozen Mustangs from stock to 1000hp drag cars. Generally I do my own work along with my best friend.
What area
I can see the state line from my porch so I spend a lot of my time in WNC
Sorry - just saw your question today. Hickory is NW of Charlotte, right on I-40 and about 1 hour east of Asheville. We try to make different events (especially fundraisers for veterans and kids), so we may very well cross paths.

I’ve been there a few times. I spend a lot of my time in Tryon and Saluda. Lots of great areas to explore in WNC
Welcome. You did take on a pretty significant event but it sounds like, with 1 minor hiccup, it went well. Sounds like you’re going to be busy. Good luck and enjoy.
Welcome. Im over in Anderson, run. Performance shop mainly drag racing related but I personally am into sport car racing in my free time.
What shop providing your allowed to say since this is a forum. message me if so. Mostly curious.
generally I do all my own work along with the buddy of mine but there’s definitely some new tricks to learn with these cars. Motors are simple but I have a 3.90 gear to install and it’s certainly no 8.8 for setup lol

I’m going to do my best to make next years. If it ends up to far away to be practical I just make up my own road trip
