Hi all. Been on the forum for a little bit, but just getting around to this now. I live in the NW suburbs of Minneapolis with my husband Ryan and our 4 fur babies. I have slowly converted him to the Corvette life.
I'm a long-time Corvette girl that came to love them through being exposed to them by my dad for my whole life. He bought and sold about 20 of them through the years. All different generations and years. When he passed in 2018 he still had a '06 Z06, a '91 convertible, a '91 ZR-1, and a '61 hardtop only convertible. The '61 is the one I inherited. He had no say in the matter. I called dibs on it when I was 5 years old, and told him that if he ever sold it I would kill him. He bought it from the original owner back in 1970, and he took very good care of it. We get it out as much as we can, which can be tough in MN where there can be snow on the ground like 6 months out of the year. She gets a lot of looks being a fairly rare combo of Jewel Blue w/unicolor coves, blue interior, and having a Powerglide AT instead of a manual. Recently earned a Survivor Gold award for its originality and a Top Flight, but mainly we just go sit on our butts are local shows every weekend to share her with other car lovers in the area, and so we can get tan.
