My step-dad just got a z51 2016 corvette and I wanted to learn more about the platform so I can help him with basic maintenance. It's got about 50k miles on it and I was gonna help him with the brakes but he picked up rotors for the base package (smaller diameter and thinner) so I just want to help him get the correct ones.
I made a post in the c7/tech forum asking about the rotor p/n. Any help is appreciated I tried searching and found the front rotor was updated from a 2pc to a 1pc design, but not sure on the rear rotors. Going with stock rotors because they seem like a good value for it being nitro/carburized treated and it's cheaper than the powerstop rotors. And I was going with the z23 pads because people here seem to like it (low dust) and stopping power is just as good or better than oem.
Welcome to the Forum! Great that you are there to help your step-father with his parts selection. Great way for both of you to learn more about the car and hopefully he will share with you some driving time!
