Back in a vette
I have been saying that it will be replaced since it went down the road. Well, I'm (mumblemumble) years older now 3 kids out of college mortgage gone, and saved for my late midlife crisis, its time. Her replacement is picked out and funds are being transferred. Its a midlife crisis because when I bought a bike, someone asked if that was a midlife crisis when my wife was near. I said "Nope. I'm saving my mid life crisis for a vette. This is a second childhood." To which the wife quipped "So, does that mean you are done with your first one"? .....
First one was a 69 350/300 with the M21, the "new" one is a 350/350 M21. 427 is nice, but I know what the 350/300 would do, and I'm OK. The original was yellow, but about 7 days after I bought it it got hit in the passengers door. So I had it repainted Hugger Orange to match my hair (though it would need to be metal flake now..) The current one is a Monza Red convertible with both tops. Its a driver, paint is a 20 footer, under the hood is prettier. But for a car thats almost as old as me, sh will do.
Pics will be available once it is secured.
Former.
There will be some questions although I am not completely unfamiliar. If I can find a match book I think I can still set points, and I can remember setting timing with a glass of water.

Setting points with a matchbook cover; setting timing (and tire/wheel balance), with a glass of water - definitely old school but many times it worked pretty good!
