Hello follow Vette owners and fans. Just wanted to say thanks for allowing me to join. I've been a life long fan of Corvette's since I was a teenager, and have fon memories working on my neighbors 68 and 71 back in the lates 80's. Yes, I know... I just dated myself. Anyway, I just a picked up a 2000 Convertible for my next project. I've learned a ton already just by reading the posts, and I apperiacate it. Thanks!
I look forward to working on the project with my son, who is currently in school studying to become a professional machanic at Universal Technical Inst.
I look forward to virtually meeting you all...
I also starting a Youtube channel for this project... But, I have quickly learned the amout of effort to create quality vidoes. I'm not there yet!
C5 convertible project, meet and great! She certainly needs some TLC. This should be fun!

Welcome to the Forum!
Congratulations on your C5 and how nice that you can make this a father-son project. Great bonding time for you both and the hands-on experiences will help reinforce, even more, what he is learning at UTI.

Thanks, it’s all ready starting out be great a bonding experience with my son. I’m not sure he knows yet!
I have a laundry list of items it’s needs, three item made the top of the list, two of which I did not know at the time of purchase. The Trans being #1, and an ABS module (M style) . The trans I swapped this weekend with a little help from my son and his friend. Convertible top, already purchased, some interior parts, and basic maintenance items.
overrall, she is not in bad shape, she just needs some love. If you want full list I can post it.
