Hello everyone, I’m more than happy to have joined this community. If you look at my bio you’ll see that my grandpa was the hi-performance manager of Nickey Chevrolet Chicago back in the 70’s. I know that doesn’t really mean much for anyone including me hah, but I would eventually like for that to be significant, I want to carry on his legacy of making fast Chevys. Recently got hired at a very generously paying warehouse and I want to start down the path to getting my first Corvette.
Welcome to the Forum, Emmett!
I am one of many members who I am sure remember Nickey Chevrolet, their early foray into 427 powered Camaros and your grandfather’s involvement in this; and I also remember their sponsorship of Dan Blocker’s pre and early Can Am race car “Vinegaroon”. I always thought it would be cool to see “Hoss Cartwright” try to tuck himself into his glow in the dark lime green Genie.
Best wishes with your search for the Corvette right for you.
