I'm yet another boomer wanna-be. I've been driving sports cars since I could afford to buy one. Started with a '72 240Z and drove the wheels off that. Bought a '77 308gtb in the late 90's and fell in love: four dual downdraft Weber carbs connected directly to the throttle. But enough of the foreign cars, I've loved corvettes since I was a kid in the 1960's. I've owned an '85 Z51 which I could never get to run right and almost bought a '77 when I was really young. Now I'm back. Resources like this bring the Corvette experience to a new level so thanks for being here!
Right now, I'm starting my search for a C8. Well, I think I want a C8, but I'm also thinking of buying a C5 or C6 and making it my own. I'm going to go into details in a more appropriate place, but that explains why I'm here.
Welcome, I also had 240Z, 260Z, 280Z and last one 300ZX, all were great Datsun.
I bought the 240Z in 1984 (I think) It started life as an automatic. A friend helped me transition it to a manual in about 1991. I drove it regularly until about 2004. Sold it to a friend in about 2007.
Still miss it.
