Hey guys and girls. New to the forum as in registered, however I have read threads on the web and that is how I got introduced to the forum. Been a Vette owner since 1980 when I bought my 73 Coupe, then in around 1998 I bought my 72 Convertible, then in 2000 I bought my 1963 Roadster, and finally in 2020 bought my 2016 Stingray Convertible. Still have all of them, along with some old Impalas, couple Dodge cars, a Plymouth, and last but not least a 62 Rambler wagon. I obviously like to work on cars, as you know if you have old cars, you are going to work on them. Most of the cars I have personally restored, and I know the word "restored" can be subjective. Most I left the body sitting on the frame, some I did frame offs. Looking forward to talking and listening about these cars.
Welcome to the Forum and congratulations on your nice and varied collection of cars!
Have to say you are probably the first Corvette owner I am aware of who also has a ‘62 Rambler.
I do remember a neighbor many moons ago who had a Rambler wagon - think it was a Classic Cross Country (?).
Thanks for the welcome. There are probably just a handful of these cars (Cross Country pale green) left, as kind of like Mopar's in the day, rust and dislike of cheap tinny cars they ended up in the crusher. This car I have yet to restore, and probably won't due to the unavailability of parts. It is a 100% complete unrestored original car that I bought from a friend that left it sitting in mom and dads garage since 1972. It's more of a conversation piece. Thanks again.
Thanks that is some collections of rides, I use to have 63 SS Impala back in the day, loved that car wish I kept along with all the others I had in my younger days. Now just Corvette!!!
I sure like my Vettes, but I am partial to Impala's too. Gotta say though, there is nothing I own (and 4 are big blocks) that will come close to the performance of the 16 Vette. And as late model Vette's go, it's probably one of the slowest compared to Z cars and C8. Thanks for the welcome.
