Hello all,
Bought a ‘77 Vette the other day.
She’s mostly original, motor has been rebuilt. Still in the break-in period.
While the body and frame are solid, she does need a restoration.
I’ve been around Vettes most of my life, starting with my dad’s ‘75 back in the late ‘70’s. It was the first car I ‘drove’. He let drive in around an empty parking lot in drive and idle it around it a few times. I was so stoked! Do when I was looking for my first Vette, it had to be a mid ‘70’s notch back! Wish it could have been his, but we don’t know what happened to it. He sold it to a guy he worked with back in the mid ‘80’s. If anyone happens to know how to track down the VIN, I’d love to try and find it.
As for my dad, he is much more of a C4 guy. He has multiple C4’s, all ones he bought new, and one is a ZR-1. But he’s had quite a few more, including a c5 Z06, and a ‘15 Z06.
He is why I’m such a car nut.
I’m here to learn mostly about common issues and fixes, and to hear about others experiences, good and bad.
