Howdy. Ya'll. New(old) Corvette owner here. 1 week ago I inherited my fathers 2001 Convertible in Speedway white. Had 1 day to get it whipped into shape before driving it from St Louis to Austin TX. 82K miles and reasonably well cared for. Only 1 driveability issue so far which is what seems like warped rotors.
Expect dumb questions and even dumber responses from me
Welcome to the Forum and congratulations on your C5!
Condolences on the passing of your father, but nice that the car stayed in the family.
Your 800+ mile trip was a great way to get to know more about your new ride.
Lot of great members and helpful info in the C5 sections at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-1997-2004-2/.
Hope your father “joins” you in many of your drives!

Thanks, 99. I appreciate the condolences. I did in fact have a "moment" while enjoying the trip. I was about 3 hrs out from St Louis in Arkansas. Traveling down the "Rock-n-Roll Highway. Nothing but the "Word" and country music on the radio. I found a station that was playing honkeytonk and 60-70's classic country. I spent the next 50 miles smiling and crying while reminiscing the times I heard these same songs in my fathers pickup.
