Been a long time...
New guy, fresh to the Corvette forum but not to Corvettes. I sold my last one, a ’69 sometime mid-80s. First, a ’67 purchased in ’75, crashed in ’79 just sitting at a traffic light. Then a ’64 purchased early ‘80s and sold soon after. All convertibles, all small blocks, all manuals.
Been playing with Cobra replicas starting in 2004, two Superformance, and now a Factory Five Racing Challenge Car under construction for track and street. The same motor, an aluminum 427 Windsor, in all. I like 427s.
Decided I wanted another driver and found an all black 2009 Z06 here on the forum. Picked it up in Milwaukee on Thursday this week with the plan to take the Lake Express ferry back to Michigan. So much for plans, ferry canceled and had to drive home. All’s good, car runs great, no issues.
So that’s the start of my story….

Thanks guys. I'll post photos when I have a chance to get it out for photos. 2009 3LZ black/black w/ HCI and a few other performance mods.
