Just a new guy to the site! Been into "cars" since the late 50's, YA! I'm an "Old Fart". do not know how sensitive everyone here is. I am not so to me OK to say what ya'll want. Have been in the automotive business -getting paid for it-since 1968. Tech, service mgr., store mgr., district Service Mgr, ( ran 28 stores service dept.s) Once I retire from that, as the wife & I still wanted to eat & buy "stuff" I Drove Semi truck across the lower 48, plan was to but Rebecca in the truck and see the country on Crete Carrier's nickel. it required a lot of away time so did the "parts store" thing. That lasted just a few years, as I got yelled at a lot for telling 'MY" customers " you don't need all that "stuff" just this. the company did not see that if they saved money and it fixed the problem they would come back and ALSO send others. A lot of them still find me to ask about suggestions and how to repair. Now; driving a school bus for a local school system, $26 per to drive around for 5 hours a day - all summers, weekends and holidays off! I am and will forever be a "MOPAR" guy, However wife always wanted one, and I like what they are capable of so we just picked up a used C6 Rag, under $32K, under 40,000, LS3, she need an automatic, 3LT, and other stuff that she wanted. our 66 Satellite (689HP/675Lbft is a Pro Street Car, loves to go straight-and it gets there yesterday. The Vette is glued to the ground and a joy to drive! the LS3 is more than enough to get that 3100 lb. car moving! So in between school runs I will be here and my Mopar sites, listening and helping if I can.
