I had my first Corvette in the early 80's, it was a silver C4 with red interior, and it was made by Matchbox. I have been a fan ever since, and now some 40 years later I got myself a C4 in 1:1 scale!
It's an un-molested early 1985 car, only modification being the de-catted true dual exhaust which drones terribly. It has cloth sport seats in graphite, Z51 suspension and 4+3 transmission. The car was imported to Finland in 1987 and has never been driven in the winter. It has 115k miles on it, most of it done in the 90's. The tyres on it were over 20 years old, but still had plenty of tread on them when I bought it. Last 15 years' maintanence had mostly been yearly motor oil changes, so there is some catching up to do.
So yeah, I'm from Finland, it's currently about 3°F outside, and the C4 is now again parked in a warm garage for the winter. I'll get back on working on it after I finish rebuilding the engine for my slightly modified 2006 Cooper S JCW...
